A video of the kids making and learning about slime :)
Our stretchy slime recipe:
- Add 3 oz of Elmer's glue to a bowl (we used the red glitter glue with gold flecks, it comes in a 6 oz bottle, we used 1/2 the bottle for each bowl). You can add food coloring if you want to modify the color.
- Add 1/2 cup of warm water to each bowl and mix around, will be clumpy
- Mix 1/2 teaspoon of Borax into half of a glass full of water. Start adding one tablespoon of this mixture to the bowl at a time, mixing very well in between until you get the right "stretch" and until it is not too sticky and can be handled.
***The key is to add the borax mixture very very slowly and be patient. If you add it too fast like we did the first time, the slime will be more like putty and not stretchy.
